Overview
MyBenefits is an online platform that enables Ontarians to manage their social assistance benefits efficiently. The platform serves a diverse user base, including individuals with disabilities, seniors, and those with limited digital literacy.
During my 8-month UX Designer co-op at the Ontario Public Service (OPS) - Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services (MCCSS), I contributed to improving the usability and accessibility of this platform.
My Responsibilities

Designed high-fidelity prototypes using Figma, ensuring consistency with brand and accessibility guidelines

Developed interactive prototypes in Axure for demonstration and training purposes

Edit the design based on comments from the team and promptly provide the updated version

Improved navigation structure and simplified UI for a more intuitive experience

Led design handoff sessions, ensuring smooth implementation

Applied WCAG and AODA accessibility standards to enhance inclusivity

Designed the email templates used in the platform and created HTML templates
